About the Project

What resources are being developed based on the findings of the project?

    • A poster series has been designed to validate what parents are already doing and to provide information on the meaning and significance of attachment for their children’s current and future well-being.
    • This web-site and a print toolkit have been developed, containing concrete resources for the use of service providers in community, health and social service agencies, in supporting parents to maintain effective attachment practices.

We hope that these materials will be used to initiate further discussion on the issues that we have introduced – both amongst service providers and parents themselves. We all need to continue to share attachment practices and our experiences with the factors that influence them, in order to learn from each other. The lessons we learn need to be applied to overall programming and service delivery, to benefit all the parents we serve.
